Pastor Bob Fuchs will serve as the next pastor in charge at DownRiver United Methodist Church, effective July 1. His first Sunday will be an in-person worship at DownRiver Church (14400 Beech Daly, between Northline and Eureka, in Taylor) on July 5; the service time is 10:30 a.m.

Pastor Bob joined the Methodist Church the way many have, he married a lifelong Methodist, Sue LePatourel.

Prior to becoming a pastor, Bob served as liturgist, worship host, and at times delivered the Sunday message at Brighton First United Methodist Church. He served on many committees, led mission teams through Appalachia Service Project, was involved in small group studies, brewed coffee, taught Sunday School, etc., etc.

After a successful 35 career in tax consulting, the Spirit called Bob to ministry. Bob was appointed as Associate Pastor at Brighton First United Methodist Church on January 1, 2017. He became the Campus Pastor in Whitmore Lake when the two churches became one on July 1, 2018.

Pastor Bob and his wife Sue are excited to transition their lives to the Downriver Area and look forward to connecting with the community; its leaders and people.
